Fireplace Operating Instructions

The fireplace in your apartment is connected to a water-based heating system. For safe and proper operation, please follow these instructions:

• The firewood is ready to be lit using a lighter.

• When lighting the fire for the first time, pull out both levers. Once the fire is burning steadily, push the upper lever back in.

• The lower lever controls the air supply and therefore the intensity of the fire.

• Before adding more wood, pull out the upper lever. After closing the fireplace door, push it back in.

• Pulling the upper lever all the way out opens the chimney damper and prevents smoke from entering the room.

If the fireplace is already lit when you arrive, follow the same procedure every time you add wood:

Pull out the upper lever → Open the door → Add wood → Close the door → Push the upper lever back in.
